Since I was a boy my dream and passion have been to work with animal farming. In order to be in touch with nature and also for having the possibility of using science in the field, I decided to pursue the veterinarian career. In my first professional years working for a big poultry integration in Brazil, I could experience and fully understand the importance of animal production for thousands of families directly or indirectly impacted by the animal protein value chain. And I also felt the responsibility of feeding a huge number of consumers around the world.
Producing animal protein is not a minor task! It means for farmers and their families full dedication and care for the animals, lots of work employing most of their lifetime on that, respect for the environment along with the responsibility of putting a high quality and safe food on millions of plates every day.
Applying state of the art technology to improve the quality and the sustainability of eggs, meats, fish and milk, assuring consumers will have safe food on their tables, reinforces my conviction that I have chosen the right job and it makes me proud of working for a company that invests on science to make peoples’ lives brighter every day.
