How ISO & FAMI-QS Certifications Strengthen Customer Trust

In today’s feed industry, trust is just as critical as nutrition. Farmers, nutritionists, and integrators need confidence that every premix not only meets label guarantees but is manufactured under the highest standards of safety and quality. This is where internationally recognized certifications, such as ISO 9001:2015 and FAMI-QS, play an essential role.

ISO 9001:2015 is the world’s most recognized quality management standard. At its core, ISO focuses on consistency—ensuring that processes are repeatable, risks are managed, and improvements are ongoing. For our customers across North America, ISO certification means that every batch of premix is backed by a system designed to reduce errors, improve efficiency, and enhance customer satisfaction from end to end.

FAMI-QS, designed specifically for the specialty feed ingredients and premix industry, adds another layer of trust. It emphasizes feed safety, hazard prevention, and supply chain transparency. By being certified FAMI-QS, we demonstrate that we don’t just meet regulatory baselines; we proactively identify and control risks unique to animal nutrition manufacturing.

Together, ISO and FAMI-QS certifications reassure customers that:

  • Products are consistent and reliable, no matter the order size or location.
  • Processes are audited by independent bodies, not just internal checks.
  • Risks of contamination or non-compliance are mitigated, protecting both animals and businesses.
  • Continuous improvement is embedded, ensuring that today’s good practices become tomorrow’s even better ones.

When combined with compliance to cGMPs, CFIA feed regulations, and the FDA’s FSMA animal food rule, these certifications form a robust quality framework across all our North American facilities. Customers can have confidence that their supply partner isn’t just following rules but is committed to excellence recognized on a global scale.

The benefits of a more concentrated premix

Premixes are a blend of micro ingredients mixed into a carrier substance. Premixes can be concentrated, meaning they will have higher nutrient levels and less carrier, or dilute, meaning they will have lower nutrient levels and more carrier. When concentrated, a lower premix volume needs to be added to the final feed. Concentrating a premix has several direct and indirect benefits, including greater analytical precision due to better weighment accuracy and higher inclusion level, and potentially improved shelf-life stability. Concentrated premixes require less volume, and therefore, packaging and storage space, which can also reduce the cost of transportation.
