dsm-firmenich Launches New Lore™ Artificial Intelligence Module for Dairy Cattle at Agroleite 2025

In addition to the new Lore™ module launch, the company will highlight technologies for dairy herd nutrition, welfare, and performance, including mycotoxin solutions, advanced supplementation, farm management tools, and enteric methane emission reduction.

dsm-firmenich, owner of the Tortuga® animal nutritional supplements brand and FarmTell™ farm management software and consulting, is participating in Agroleite 2025, one of the main events on Brazil's dairy calendar, with new offerings for the sector. During the event, held from August 5 to 8 in Castro (PR), known as the "National Capital of Milk," the company officially announces the launch of the new Lore™ artificial intelligence module, developed to support dairy farm management.

"dsm-firmenich was already a pioneer in developing Lore™, an artificial intelligence algorithm focused on beef cattle, which quickly became an ally for ranchers, farm managers, and farmhands. Now, we are taking a new step by bringing this technology to the dairy chain, offering an unprecedented solution that simplifies daily routines in the field and supports more precise decisions at all stages of production," says Luiz F. Magalhães, President of Animal Nutrition and Health at dsm-firmenich for Latin America.

This innovation expands dsm-firmenich's portfolio in Precision Farming. Lore™ is an artificial intelligence that monitors milk production and predicts problems in the field, integrated with FarmTell™ Milk software, the most accessed in the world – already used by over 15,000 farms globally, including 5,000 in Brazil, with over 17,000 active users and 900,000 cows registered. It was created to facilitate the producer's daily life by centralizing strategic farm indicators such as daily milk production, quality (fat, protein, SCC), fertility, animal health, mastitis occurrence, and even heat stress. The solution offers an intuitive application that uses artificial intelligence to anticipate occurrences and generate daily alerts based on data analysis from the farm itself.

"With Lore™, we are delivering a practical and powerful technology to dairy producers, capable of transforming data into decisions. It is a tool that simplifies routines, saves time, and enhances results," says Vanessa Porto, Director of Precision Farming at dsm-firmenich. "It was developed by our team based on active listening with producers and industry specialists and tested on over 10 farms in Brazil over six months."

In addition to the launch of Lore™ for dairy cattle, dsm-firmenich will present other animal nutrition and health technologies from its portfolio at its permanent house at the Castro exhibition park. Highlights include the Bovigold® line, composed of mineral and vitamin supplements developed to meet different phases of the dairy herd, including lactation, calf rearing, growing, and transition. With specific formulations for each stage, the line contributes to productivity, mammary and ruminal health, and optimizes nutrient utilization from the diet. Recently, dsm-firmenich expanded the portfolio with three new products: Bovigold® Digest, Bovigold® Guard, and Victus® Thermo, which offer even more targeted solutions for field needs.

Another highlight is Mycofix®, an additive that neutralizes mycotoxins — toxic substances produced by fungi — protecting animals against productivity losses, reproductive problems, and immunosuppression. With proven action through three mechanisms (adsorption, biotransformation, and bioprotection), the Mycofix® line protects animals of different categories from mycotoxins such as aflatoxins, fumonisins, trichothecenes, zearalenone, and ochratoxin A.

The company also reinforces the role of Bovaer® as an innovative solution for reducing enteric methane emissions in milk production. Scientifically proven and extensively tested in production systems in Brazil and worldwide, the Bovaer® additive can reduce these greenhouse gas emissions by 30% to 45% without compromising herd productivity. By promoting more sustainable livestock farming, this technology aligns with the dairy chain's environmental goals and strengthens Brazil's position as a reference in climate-responsible production.

"The dairy chain is experiencing a challenging moment that increasingly demands efficiency, predictability, and intelligent use of information. dsm-firmenich is committed to supporting producers with complete solutions ranging from nutrition to technology, including management, health, and sustainability. Agroleite is the ideal stage to present this integrated proposal, which includes high-tech nutritional products like the Bovigold® line and Mycofix®, as well as software like FarmTell™ Milk and the new Lore™ module for dairy producers," comments Marcelo Machado, Dairy Manager at dsm-firmenich for Latin America.

"For us, Agroleite is a strategic and symbolic event. Being here, in our home, bringing an unprecedented technology, an artificial intelligence 100% focused on dairy production, reinforces our commitment to delivering innovation with purpose for the field," highlights Luiz F. Magalhães, adding: "We are prepared to support producer growth with complete solutions in nutrition, management, and technology."

During the four-day event, visitors will be able to learn about Lore™ in detail through an interactive totem, participate in an artificial intelligence quiz with prize giveaways, and take advantage of special conditions for contracting the tool. dsm-firmenich has also prepared exclusive visual activations and a dedicated technical team on-site to answer questions and demonstrate the solution's functionality.
