TILAMAR® Quat 640 (INCI: Polyquaternium-6) is a conditioning polymer that delivers ultimate conditioning performance and a weightless feel, even after repeated leave-in applications. Because it is easily removed without build-up, it leaves even fine hair looking and feeling weightless.
The low viscosity promotes easier handling and processing of the finished product. In hair care applications TILAMAR® Quat 640 is recommended for formulations of shampoos, conditioners, hair treatments, colorants, and styling products. In skin care, TILAMAR® Quat 640 is recommended for bar soaps, shower products, face and body care products. TILAMAR® Quat 640 is a highly charged cationic aqueous solution polymer of diallyl dimethyl ammonium chloride. It is a clear liquid.
The diverse PQ-6 grades differ from each other in respect of molecular weight and the related viscosity.
