This partnership is the perfect match that blends science with the art of color, fragrance, and flavor – and our 2024 creations underscore the research and innovation that make us a category of one.
Unveiling our latest inventions
Peach Fuzz Eau de Parfum (EDP) is a velvety, gentle peach fragrance whose all-embracing spirit enriches mind, body, and soul. To convey an authentic feeling of tenderness, it harnesses the power of EmotiON™ - our breakthrough program that supports the creation of fragrances with scientifically validated emotional, psychological, and physical benefits. Peach Fuzz EDP also scores a AAA rating on our EcoScent™ compass tool for measuring planetary impact, highlighting our award-winning efforts to shape a sustainable future for perfumery.
In the world of taste, we drew inspiration from across the cultural zeitgeist to develop Peach+, the 12th annual “Flavor of the Year”. This is an invitation to our customers to innovate with this beloved flavor – to go beyond its traditional juiciness and sweetness and consider softer, smoother, lighter, more refreshing textural elements. With its delicate and natural qualities, Peach+ is set to find applications across multiple industries, opening up countless possibilities for the creation of products with high impact and superior business relevancy.
A peach-perfect trend
Together with PANTONE®, we’ve based our selections on emerging signals in the cultural and consumer landscape, in which trends in kindness, community, goodness, and comfort are all growing in relevance. “We wanted to express a sense of skin and feel-good notion of intimacy, as well as safety and comfort. We were inspired to create a touchable peach fragrance with a skin sensation,” explain Alexandra Monet and Steve Guo, the perfumers behind Peach Fuzz EDP.
For Jeffrey Richard Schmoyer, VP of Human Insights for Taste, Texture & Health at dsm-firmenich, the “multifaceted meanings” of the peach flavor – indulgent yet revitalizing, youthful yet nostalgic – give it a unique, “incredibly emotional” quality. While it’s been an evergreen fruit flavor in many categories for decades, it’s also showing promise for growth in functional and powdered soft drinks, as well as savory applications and combinations with other fruit flavors. These flavor insights, supported by our proprietary Emotions 360™ consumer study, give us confidence that 2024 is the year to put the Plus in Peach.
