We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all solutions. In fact, we carefully tailor our actions to the particular risks and challenges of each and every supply chain. For higher-risk supply chains, for instance, we proactively develop prevention, mitigation, and remediation plans alongside NGOs and public authorities.
For us, responsible sourcing includes the selection and monitoring of our suppliers, such as through Ecovadis scores and our Supplier Code, performing due diligence, and ensuring our ingredients follow specific, dsm-firmenich standards.
Certification plays a critical role in responsible sourcing. It offers credibility and transparency, while ensuring action plans are put in place for future renewal. It boosts traceability by ensuring that the ingredient’s origin and handling is documented and verifiable. And that’s not all: we ensure that ingredients are sourced under fair labor conditions and ethical business practices, which ensure the well-being of workers and minimize the environmental footprint of the ingredient’s production.
