Sustainable construction is one of the key challenges for the future. With a construction and coating market that is increasingly turning towards responsible materials, we strive to develop sustainable technical solutions. Our bio-sourced ingredients have multiple applications in this area, for concrete, insulation, waterproofing and paints to reduce the environmental impact of construction and manage their energy consumption.

Our bio-sourced ingredients offer a real green alternative to better meet the requirements of new and future regulations on the reduction of CO2 emissions in the manufacture of concrete and cement.
In addition to carbon footprint reduction, we develop ingredients that make concrete more robust, easier to work with, and more resistant to freeze-thaw.
We also work to improve the milling of concrete for the manufacturing of cement, to optimize their plasticity, and even to improve their ability to retain and hold together mortar.
The benefits of our resins? Facilitating the use of pressure-sensitive adhesives (instead of conventional fastening techniques), improving insulation while reducing the use of primary fossil fuels and thus the carbon footprint of materials. They also facilitate the recycling of materials during demolition.
Our bio-sourced resins have significant benefits for low-energy buildings, particularly the roofs, which are crucial for efficient thermal performance.
Our solutions make it possible to create cold tackifying membranes for solid improvements in energy performance and in building durability, increasing weather resistance through waterproofing system for instance. They are also used for vapor barrier tapes formulations that are key elements to improve energy efficiency, durability, and indoor air quality.
Thanks to our renewable resins, it is even possible to easily upgrade a roof with photovoltaic panels allowing for green power generation on site.
Our tall-oil fatty acids and green solvents are well-suited to develop sustainable paints and coatings with the best performances.
Improved resistance, easy to apply and highly renewable, these various components help create sustainable, highly-efficient technical innovations for all types of paints and coatings: decorative, anticorrosion, specific for woods.
An integral part of the infrastructure, road marking is another area where our resins stand out. Our Dertoline® range (Rosin ester resins) is for instance used in thermoplastic formulations which can prove a game changer to replace other technologies used for road marking. Right from the application, these bio-sourced resins improve sustainability and convenience. They offer a solvent-free solution that prevents the release of volatile organic compounds and harmful chemicals, thus protecting construction workers in charge of road laying and more generally the environment. Thermoplastic road markings also dry faster, allowing for a quicker adhesion on the road and helping our customers save time.
