Join us at Petfood Forum 2026

April 27-29, 2026 / Kansas city, NA

Pet nutrition is entering a new performance era—and we’d like you to be part of it. At Booth 1307 we will showcase innovation across four key areas: omega-3s, microbiome, premixes, and taste.

In omega-3s, discover our upgraded Veramaris® Pets—now with 30% more EPA guaranteed for the most potent EPA and DHA combination on the market at no extra cost—plus a new patent-protected omega-3 innovation we'll be unveiling at the show, alongside other sustainable solutions. Talk to us on stand about our dual Lactobacillus postbiotic research, and join our presentation on Tuesday, April 28 to explore new scientific evidence linking the gut–brain axis to canine anxiety. Join us back at our booth for a cold craft beer and salty snacks. It’s a relaxed opportunity to meet our North America team, ask technical questions and explore capabilities from our new pet-dedicated premix facility in Tonganoxie, Kansas, and our taste innovations, including our Natural Cheddar Cheese Concentrate.

Calming canines naturally: a gut-brain axis approach using a Lactobacillus postbiotic

Presented by dsm-firmenich:

Jeff Alix - Director Business Development Microbiome & Taste

Erik Eckhardt - Principal Scientist Health from the Gut Postbiotic Platform

Don’t miss this deep dive into the most extensively studied postbiotic on the market for pets and the compelling evidence behind its potential to address a key consumer need: natural calming solutions for anxious dogs.

Jeff and Erik will introduce dsm-firmenich’s dual Lactobacillus postbiotic, made from heat-inactivated bacterial cells and fermentation metabolites from two proprietary strains, including naturally occurring GABA, a neurotransmitter associated with calming effects. Drawing on controlled studies, they will show how this breakthrough solution has been found to help reduce anxiety-related behaviors in dogs through gut–brain axis modulation, and discuss its formulation potential and market relevance as a natural calming solution.

Can’t wait until April?
