dsm-firmenich Beauty & Care House of Science has been recognised with the Outstanding Paper Award at the 2025 China Cosmetics Science & Technology Conference, themed “Empowering Beauty with Science, Creating a Green Future”, organised by the China Association of Fragrance, Flavour and Cosmetic Industries (CAFFCI).
The awarded paper, “Boosting Retinol Activity Using Novel Lecithin: Retinol Acyltransferase Inhibitors,” introduces a breakthrough strategy to enhance the anti-aging efficacy of retinol by targeting the LRAT enzyme pathway.
This pioneering research was conducted by a team of distinguished scientists: Dominik Imfeld, PhD; André Fischer, PhD; Rolf Schütz, PhD; Leithe Budel, PhD; and Professor Anthony Rawlings.

In addition, Eve Chen, Application Laboratory Manager B&C in China, has been honoured with the Outstanding Individual Award for her contributions as an Efficacy Evaluation Expert.
