No change to normal on-farm routine
Just like any other feed supplement, it is incorporated very simply into the farm minerals or feed before it arrives on farm.
Yet including Bovaer® significantly decreases the methane cows usually produce as they digest feed. It works by reducing the activity of the enzyme responsible for methane emission in the cow’s rumen and takes effect within 30 minutes, without affecting milk yield, quality or cow health.
30% to 45% methane reduction
Bovaer® has no effect on milk yield, quality or cow health and reduces methane emissions on average by 30% for dairy cattle, and 45% for beef cattle.
