Same milk. Same meat. Better for the climate.

Picture this: the dairy and meat products consumers love, produced with a much smaller environmental footprint. It’s not a far-off dream. It's happening now.

With six billion people enjoying dairy daily, the call for climate-friendly food is louder than ever. We know farmers are on the front line of this change, but the entire value chain has a part to play.

That’s where Bovaer® comes in. It’s a simple, scientifically proven feed supplement that significantly reduces methane emissions from cattle. This innovative solution empowers you to meet market demand for sustainable products, strengthen your supply chain, and lead the way in climate action—without compromising on quality.

Ready to help shape a more resilient food future?

Bovaer® can help us all play a small but important role in creating a healthier planet

When cows eat, they naturally produce methane as a byproduct. Methane is a greenhouse gas that accelerates climate change even more than CO2. Bovaer® works on a cow’s digestion to reduce methane production by an average of 30% in dairy cows and 45% in beef cattle.

How it works

Bovaer® is a simple addition to cows’ diets that helps reduce their environmental footprint. Acting on methane emissions, it is rapidly broken down in the cow’s stomach into naturally occurring compounds.

Bovaer® reduces the activity of the enzyme responsible for methane production, and only affects the methane cows produce, not  the cow itself – so it never gets into the meat you eat or the milk you drink, keeping them exactly as they have always been: nutritious and high quality.

Bovaer® delivering a significant impact on CO2e reduction

By reducing methane emissions from cattle, farms using Bovaer® in their feed are making a measurable impact on climate change every day.
